Did you know? ASHA CEUs vs. PDHs

Did you know that SLPs and audiologists do not need to pay for ASHA CEUs in order to maintain our CCCs? You have the option to save money and keep track of your professional development hours without the ASHA CEU registry!

Here is the ASHA Record Keeping Form for Professional Development Hours. Keep your proof of completion forms/certificates/transcripts in case you are audited!

Learn more about professional development hours on the ASHA website here

Find a list of acceptable professional development activities here
For example:

  • employer-sponsored in-service training programs

  • other professional organizations' continuing education activities

  • college or university course work from an institution that holds regional accreditation or its equivalent

Maintaining your CCCs is proof of professional learning for the Office of Professional Regulation when it comes time to renew your Vermont clinical license; however, if you are licensed without your CCCs, you can renew by showing 20 hours of professional development hours within the last 2 years.
